Biles was born in Spring Texas, in the Houston metro region. Her sister Adria were adopted by Ronald Biles and Nellie Biles. Simone began to take an interest in gymnastics when she was just six in a day-care field excursion to Bannon's Gymnastix and stayed there for 11 years, under supervision of trainer Aimee Boorman. Biles won a gold in the floor and bronze in vault at the women's Junior Olympic National Championships in 2010. She then stepped into the elite level of gymnastics in the year the year 2011. Two years later, she was a dominant competitor in the sport. Biles's consistency, her exuberant nature and high degree of effort for her four eventsvault uneven bars, balance beam floor workout and floor exercises -- helped to set her out from the rest of the athletes.
